From the ashes of threevue.com arose theeasymode.com. We are a collection of writers, fighters, and lovers, dedicated to giving you news and reviews about our favorite subjects: video games, music, movies, and techmologies.
The gruesome details:
Name: Giang Cao Location: Melbourne, Australia Site responsibilities: I'm the pretty one Occupation: Photographer and Style Icon Most significant gaming moment: Playing Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball made me realise I was a homosexual Hobbies outside of this site: Apart from keeping up my other blog, I'm a killer cook, I make a mean playlist and I'm mad for gadgetry of all sorts.
Name: Mark Hill Location: Los Angeles, CA Site responsibilities: Occasional “Fake Worlds, Real Money,” homo-erotic game reviews, video game commercial opinion giver. Occupation: Student, waiter, budding/failing actor Most significant gaming moment: I have a few. Finally beating the final Dr. Robotnik boss in Sonic 2 with my sister, getting Mario 3 for Christmas, and (sorry, Russ) finally beating Russ in Tiger Woods. Hobbies outside of this site: Playing darts, watching most sports, drinking red wine and Negro Modelo, eating pizza, chicken wings, and burritos. And leading a healthy lifestyle.
Name: Russ Crandall Location: Baltimore/DC Area Site responsibilities: I make the most noise in the Love at First LARP, Cheevers, Cheapskate, and Music sections. I also handle the heavy/complicated business stuff. Occupation: I work for this guy. I would also like to be a rich and famous musician, so if you could hook a brother up that’d be great. You can download most of my albums for free here, which isn’t really helping me to become a rich musician at all. Most significant gaming moment: Taking two months to play through Resident Evil 4 was like making out with monsters for 60 days straight. But with very limited ammo. Hobbies outside of this site: cooking, eating, writing about cooking, singing about eating.
Name: Steve McKay Location: Aberdeen, Scotland Site responsibilities: As well as contributing articles and being an occasional guest on the podcast, my main functions are: providing the sites quota of "stiff upper lip", contributing a great deal of sarcasm, trying (and failing) to be funny. Occupation: Taking candy from babies. Well, almost; I work for an evil, faceless chemical company, which would step over it's own mother (if companies had mothers) just to make a quick buck. As you'd imagine, it's an immensely fulfilling experience. Most significant gaming moment: Beating Mega Man 2 when I was around 10 years old, the entire SNES era, finishing my first survival horror game (I think it was Eternal Darkness on Gamecube) and realising that I would forever be horribly, horribly addicted to the genre. Hobbies outside of this site: As well as games, I love listening to music, watching movies and reading. My other big love is Hung-Ga Kung Fu (yes, really!). I have been practising this since 2005, and I love it because it's rewarding, and helps bring some balance to my life.
Name: Tyler Miller Location: Los Angeles, CA Site responsibilities: You know the Retrograde posts? That’s all me. I also peck away at Demotopia, The Good the Bad and the Cosplay, Movies and Music features. Occupation: Student, Construction Equipment Salesman Most significant gaming moment: When I was 9 or 10 my mom bought about 100 used NES cartridges from a going-out-of-business video rental store for like, a buck a piece. It was pretty much the best Christmas ever. Hobbies outside of this site: Movies come in second to games, followed closely by music and a newfound interest in collecting vinyl. Then reading, hiking/camping and travel – in that order.
