Lemme tell you a story of why you should buy Scribblenauts Remix for your iPhone/iPad today. First of all, it's a pretty sweet game, and an updated version of a Nintendo DS game that came out a while back. You basically write down objects (and by objects I mean any object) and use those objects to accomplish tasks within levels. Tiny yellow dogs? Yeah, the game has them. Giant hungry rainbow beavers? You betcha. Also, the game is a universal iPhone/iPad app, and comes in at only 136MB, which is a bit of a feat in and of itself.

Oh yeah and it's $.99 today. Just think about all of those crappy apps you bought for that same price. You know, the ones you keep on your iPhone just because you paid for it and you might get to it someday. This my friend, is your redemption, staring back at you all giddy and twinkly-eyed.

Hey folks, just a quick note to let you know that we're bringing on another writer to the staff: Mr. Chris Claxton hails from the dreary island of Oahu and is our new resident expert on all things movie-related. Welcome aboard! no comments

If you haven't picked up Portal 2 yet, now's the time to do so. I personally got it yesterday at GameStop marked down to $40 (that price is good until May 15th), and Amazon's selling it for $35 right now on all platforms.

A lot of reviews have complained that the game is too short, but with this new price and the promise of free DLC this summer, there simply doesn't seem to be a reason to not get Portal 2 right now. You monster. no comments

Listen, folks. If you haven't already, I suggest you go buy Infinity Blade for iOS. This universal app (plays in full resolution on both iPhone and iPad) is on sale for $2.99. It's also the most beautiful iOS game out there. It's also dominated my life for the past week.

There have also been rumblings of a new update coming to the game soon (read: sometime today), with gameplay and story additions. You can download it here and it will be on sale until Sunday, March 6th. no comments

Merry Christmas everyone! We hope that Santa brought you everything you wanted. If he didn't, keep in mind that Steam is having a huge daily sale until the New Year, and Gamefly is having their big end of the year event, and games at Gamestop are buy-2-get-1-free right now. no comments

The Humble Indie Bundle #2 is available for the next six days, and you would be an utter fool not to jump on it. Not only does it offer the unforgettable Braid (our 2008 GOTY) and a bunch of other great games, but it is compatible on OS X, Windows, and Linux, and it's DRM free so you can install any of the games on any computer you want. Lastly, you can pay as much or as little as you want (even $0), and decide what portion of your payment goes to charity. I think those are enough reasons to warrant checking this deal out, so head on over now. You can thank us later. no comments

Here at Easy TowersTM, we don't normally celebrate the birthday of our readers, but we figured we'd make an exception this time for reader Dirk Davie for two reasons:

1. He just turned 20, and we figured that deserved a send-off.

2. Living in Australia is hard work - just ask Giang!

I mean, we here in other parts of the world assume that Australian life is all sunshine, surfing, meat pies and drinking beer, but it's way harder than that. For starters, there's the threat of being boxed by kangaroos.  Or the constant terror of being attacked by a drop bear.  Or randomly running into Rolf Harris whilst going about your daily business (OK sure, Rolf Harris is a legend, but be honest - you wouldn't want to share an apartment with him, would you?).  So stressful!

So we decided to honour Dirk's birthday in the only appropriate way we know how; with a good old-fashioned game of knifey-spooney!  You go get the beer, I'll go grab the cutlery! no comments

Gamefly.com is having a pretty awesome sale on their used games right now. I personally picked up Aliens vs Predator for $12.99, which is a great deal considering that Gamestop is charging $32.99 for a used copy of the same game right now. As always, you don't need to have a Gamefly subscription to buy any games, and the games ship free. The sale ends 10/4 so you might want to get them while the getting is good. Here is a list of the games that I thought were worth checking out and were at a decent price:

Xbox 360:
Prince of Persia - $9.99
Ghostbusters - $12.99
Brutal Legend - $12.99
Darksiders - $12.99
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood - $12.99
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising - $12.99
Aliens vs Predator - $12.99
Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands - $12.99
BioShock 2 - $14.99
Dante's Inferno - $14.99
Assassin's Creed 2 - $14.99
Red Faction: Guerrilla - $16.99
Wet - $17.99
Bayonetta - $17.99
Mass Effect 2 - $17.99
Left 4 Dead 2 - $17.99
Final Fantasy XIII - $17.99
Splinter Cell Conviction - $19.99
Borderlands - $19.99

And as always, for some reason the PS3 games have less selection and many of them cost more than their Xbox 360 counterparts:

PS3:
Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood - $12.99
Aliens vs Predator - $12.99
Brutal Legend - $14.99
Dante's Inferno - $14.99
Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising - $14.99
Assassin's Creed 2 - $14.99
Wet - $17.99
Bayonetta - $17.99
Infamous - $17.99
MAG - $17.99
God of War Collection - $17.99
Final Fantasy XIII - $17.99 no comments

Nostalgia not enough to sell you on Monkey Island on the iPhone? Well good news because both Special Edition remakes of Monkey Island 1 & 2 are on sale for just $1 each on the App Store. Meaning… you can get both of them for $2! I just know I'm going to be good at this game. no comments
