Mass Effect 2 Journal: Day Three

I've decided to keep a running journal of my thoughts as I play through Mass Effect 2 this weekend, and update it daily.

** Warning! Major plot spoilers. Recommended only for people that have already completed Mass Effect 2. **

0833 - Back in full effect. Going to recruit "The Veteran". It better not be Lieutenant Dan.

0838 - I'm glad that the galaxy maps have the missions written right on the planets/systems. Saves me a lot of time. Also makes the game feel a little more restricting, though. I don't mind.

0848 - My loading screen just informed me that I can export my save games to Mass Effect 3.

0859 - Gonna go and disable some false Blue Suns distress signal. Sounds like a rip-roaring good time! Actually, I'm glad that these random sidequests are actually diverse and interesting.

0916 - Uh, that mission was harder than I thought it would be. But it gave me a 50G achievement for finishing five missions by scanning unknown planets. Now I'm going to recruit Tali.

0935 - Fucking geth. I forgot about all the different kinds of them.

0959 - Quarian recruited. She has the hots for me too, apparently. Decisions, decisions.

1036 - On the collector's ship. How is it that they have space credits for me to salvage? Shouldn't they have all sorts of other weird stuff, like space goo that they use for currency? Also, turns out this is the ship that destroyed the first Normandy. I was thinking that Cerberus had secretly destroyed the Normandy, so they could "save" Shepard and recruit him. That would have been a neat twist.

1043 - ITSATRAAAPPP!

1109 - Okay, that's enough for now. Time to go get a haircut at the mall.

1628 - I'm back. Apparently people like to shop on President's Day. This includes my wife.

1729 - I've spent the past hour mining resources and doing sidequests on unexplored planets. Time to bulk up my team for a bit.

1749 - Had an awkward encounter with Liara. She was my conquest in the last game. I couldn't tell if they were kissing or what. Reminded me of that awkward kiss in the Final Fantasy movie. Going after the assassin.

1818 - Oh god, not an elevator!

1833 - Ah, this assassin is that froggy-looking character from all of the advertisements. He's much more bad ass in his opening scene than I was led to believe. New favorite character. Reminds me of Liam Neeson.

1836 - Okay, going to eat dinner now. Leftover kal-bi and some Halm's kimchee that wife brought back from Hawaii.

1950 - Back. Going to recruit the last member in my crew for now, the justice. I'm having a hard time keeping all of these alien species straight in my head. Had to go on wikipedia and read up on all of them and their histories. Like the rachni. Totally forgot about them.

2029 - Wait, the justice's name is Samara? As in the little girl from The Ring? As in the girl that haunted my dreams for a week?

2119 - This mission sure has a lot of weapons lockers. I don't mind, since you can open it and immediately close it, and it'll restore all of your ammo. Heading into the final fight of the mission, against Captain Wasea.

2136 - Okay, that's it for tonight. I have everyone recruited that I can so far, although there's still one blank spot in my team selection screen. Tomorrow I'll try and work on some loyalty quests.

Current info: Level 19, 98% Paragon, 33hrs 20min (that includes long pauses during the day).
