Quantity vs Quality: Wii Play is the top selling US game of all time

Gamespot has released NPD's top-selling games of all time list, and sitting atop the throne of veritable shit is Wii Play. Granted, everyone bought it to get another Wiimote, but it's still disappointing to see it receive such a prestigious title. The whole top ten list definitely reflects the fact that we Americans tend to spend too much money on the wrong thing. There are some good titles in there, and they all start with the words Call of Duty.

Seriously, when was the last time you had a hankering to play Guitar Hero III?
